Children
started swimming in May 09. At that time some of
them were afraid of water.
After two months,
most of them
are able to kick and float with little assistance.
Some of them are able to swim independently a few
meters.
Most importantly, all of them enjoy swimming
and looking forward to Thursday swimming class
every week. |

Dear Parent,
Children are fascinated by animals. They get
excited whenever they see one. ※Look! Teacher I saw a big dog!§ exclaimed Seo Hyun.
God is great! He has created many kinds of animals for
us to enjoy. Check out the amazing animals at Singapore
Zoo. You will be awed by the wonder of them. Wouldn*t
the children tell you, ※Mum, Please bring me to the zoo?§
They never get tired of them!
If you look into your child*s collection of toys, books
or even T.V. programmes, you will see that they can relate
to animals. And what is every child*s favourite story
in the Bible? If it*s not about David and Goliath the
giant with the slingshot, it*s most certainly Noah and
his ark, full of animals. Again, the animals!
Therefore, this term, we have decided to let the children
learn more about the animals. Let*s learn in-depth about
different types of animals - Zoo animals, Farm animals,
Wild animals, animals that can fly, animals that are
endangered and extinct. They will also discover how to
take care of them and understand the importance of animals
in their live.
I*m sure they will enjoy this child
initiated theme. Look out for the art & crafts
made by the children, listen to their animal stories
and rhymes. But most of
all, let*s just share their joy in their learning journey!
You can further enhance children*s learning by listening
to this interactive story / song, titled ※We*re going
on a bear hunt!§ at this web site 每 www.youtube.com.
The lion may be the king of the jungle, but the entire
animal kingdom surely reigns in the child*s heart.
Let's explore the world of aninal in term 3.
