Parent-Teacher-Meeting

As scheduled, we had PTM on 28 March. During the meeting, we had updated the children's progress during the first term, and gotten the feedback from our parents on children's behavior from home. A service survey form has been passed to our parents on gather ideas to improve our service. Currently, we have received some of the survey form and there are many good suggestion for us to value and implement. We will update our parents again once we gathered back most of the survey form and consolidate it.

1 Swimming Class

We will be starting our swimming class in the month of May 09. There are 5 students enrolled in our swimming class. Looking forward to seeing them making progress in swimming.

We will be using flash card to teach our children to recite and memorize. For younger students, we do not request them totally understand the verse. We let them memorize and be able to chant it loud. This is a very good way to train their memory as well as plant social moral seeds within our young children. 3. Library Trip in Term 2

We will be planning for library trip for children to browse and borrow books in the nearby public library once a month. Parents, please make a library card for your child in advance soon. We will inform our parents in a separate notice on which day to go.

4. Gardening Project in Term 2

The theme in term 2 is "Explore the Nature". So during this term, we will do a lot of experiments on nature related subjects, like flower, fruits, seeds... We will be doing a lot of walking in the neighborhood to find out different kinds of flowers, fruits. We have found banana tree, guava tree, ramadan tree, papaya tree along the lane. And more to surprise, we got some of the fruits from the tree nice and fresh. Children are very excited to be able to see the fruits on the tree and be able to plug them with their own hands as those fruits children used to see are mostly in the supermarket. How exciting to see our children be able to explore with so much interest and curiosity, which is the most important element in children's learning process.

Our children will also be building up our own garden in our school in May. We have gathered many different kinds of seeds, like sun flowers, water melon, tomato. Every children will plant a flower and observe them grow. Once the plant grow, they will be responsible to water, take care of them and record down their growing process. Parents, please allow your children bring in different kinds of seeds and safe gardening tools which are available in your garden or home for us to grow a variety of plant.

Parents can also plant a flower together with your children and to explain to them the life circle of the plant. Those hand on experience is the best way for children to learn and explore.

5. Calling for your kind donation:

Dear parents, we hope to enhance our learning centre in school. One of them is the pretend play centre. If you have any costume, special clothes, like uniform, traditional clothes for different races, special toys set like doctor set, carpenter set, dress up set, which you are not use, and in good condition, please consider donating to our school for our children to share. Thank you so much.

Another one is computer center:
We are planning to have the computer center during the 3rd term of the year. If you have upgrade your computer and have any computer you do not use, kindly consider donating to our school. So more of our resource can be used to get in good educational computer software for our children. Thank you a million.
